Sheri Gayle Plett, 69, of Inman, Kansas passed away December 28, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center from two strokes surrounded by her family.
Sheri was born in Moundridge, Kansas on December 9, 1956, to Abe and Mildred Strausz Plett. She grew up and attended schools in Inman, Kansas. During her young life she had hearing problems, which profoundly impacted her life. After graduating from Inman High School, she attended Bethel College for her passion in photography and worked a short time at Deming Photography. Later her employment included Rhodes Dough Plant, also while taking care of her parents who both had cancer.
Her next job was at Farmer’s Alliance until her job was phased out. Then she worked in food service until her health started to fail. She was diagnosed with diabetes which brought her to live at Pleasant View Home, where she lived for eight years.
She loved to knit, cook, bake, watch movies, and listen to music. While living at the home, you could always find her on the computer playing games. She also attended devotions and loved to play Bingo.
She was baptized after accepting the Lord Jesus as her personal savior. She loved the Lord until the end.
She loved her family and loved watching her nieces and nephews grow up. She also loved the nurses (her friends) who took such good care of her while in Pleasant View Home.
Preceding her in death were her parents, nephews, Phillip Dawayne Ratzloff, Randy Scott Ratzloff and brothers-in-law, David Nuese and Lynn Johnson.
Left to mourn her are three sisters, Virgean (Phil) Ratzloff, Ilene Johnson, Pat Nuese, all of Inman, and many other family members and friends.
