Nathan “Nate” Schroeder, 67, died November 15, 2023, at Harry Hynes Hospice, Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. He was born September 3, 1956, in Moundridge, the son of Herb and Linda Prieb Schroeder. He was a graduate of Central Christian High School in Hutchinson and received his bachelor of Agri-Business from Tabor College. He worked as a computer analyst at Farm Credit and Fidelity Bank. He was a member of Ridgepoint Church, Wichita. On May 3, 1986, he married Bonnie Janzen in Wichita. She survives.
Additional survivors include children, Natalie (Joshua) Chism, Spokane, WA, Cody (Jessica) Schroeder, Sedgwick, Emery (Jessica) Schroeder, Grandview, MO, and Valerie (Shandon) Classen, Liberal; a brother Herbert (Pauline) Schroeder, Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Miriam (Mark) Pauls, Inman; grandchildren, Jacob and soon to be born, Hannah Chism, Charli, Harper and Hunter Schroeder, and Haven Schroeder; and a brother-in-law, Richard (Lorraine) Geist, Abilene.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lavonne Geist; and a baby brother, Waldo Schroeder.
Family will receive friends from 5-7PM Monday, November 20, 2023, at Ridgepoint Church, 8000 West 21st St, Wichita, KS. Burial will be held at 9AM Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church Cemetery, Inman. Celebration of life services will follow at 11AM at Ridgepoint Church.
