Kaden Jade-Scot Marcum went to be with the Lord at the age of 19, surrounded by family and friends. He made every space better by his presence. As an organ donor, he has already helped save 3 lives and potentially impacting many more through tissue donation.
Kaden was born the son of Jade Scot and Janice Marie Kelley Marcum on April 28, 2006, in Hutchinson, Kansas. After high school, Kaden worked for LFI, Hutchinson, where he had the opportunity to travel to several states.
Kaden attended Inspire Church and loved the Lord. He was a big fan of the Golden State Warriors and loved basketball. He also enjoyed golf, weightlifting, firearms, knives, cool cars, and cool shoes.
He leaves behind his parents; a sister, Brynna and husband Aaron Bartlett, Hutchinson; a brother, Kaisun Marcum, Hutchinson; grandparents Larry and Janice E. Marcum and Bert and Wilda Kelley, all of Hutchinson; and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Inspire Church, Hutchinson. The family asks that everyone please wear a Hawaiian shirt and/or with a baseball cap, as that is what Kaden would want to wear! After the celebration of life, you are encouraged to stick around and play a game of basketball for KJ in the church gymnasium. Memorial contributions may be made to the KJ Marcum Best Life Fund to provide assistance to other teens to attend the same camps, conferences and mission trips that made lasting impressions on his life. Contributions can be sent in care of Inman Funeral Home. To leave a condolence for the family, please visit: www.inmanfh.com.
