Janet I Ediger

Janet Irene (Vincent) Ediger passed away on December 14, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.

Born on June 2, 1942, Jan graduated from Alden High School in 1960 and went on to attend classes at Kansas State University for four years majoring in Early Childhood Education. Jan moved to Hutchinson, KS where she met and married Art Ediger in 1969.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dean Ediger; parents, Harvey Vincent and Juanita (Decker) Vincent; siblings John Vincent, Judy Vincent, Thomas Vincent, and Ben Vincent.

She is survived by sons Cary Ediger, Burrton, KS; Jeff (Angie)Ediger, Hutchinson, KS, Honorary daughter Julie (Clint)Hamilton, Dallas, TX , sister Connie (Sam) Wright, Lawrence, KS and four grandchildren: Avery Ediger, Colton Ediger, Lucas Hamilton, and Nolan Hamilton.

Jan will be remembered for her love of cooking and exceptional cooking skills. Her home was more than just a place; it was a sanctuary where friends became family and all were welcome.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Burrton Fire Department and sent in care of Inman Funeral Home.
