Jake Eldo Klassen, 93, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, with his family by his side. He was born on February 18, 1933, in Inman, the son of John and Agnes Siebert Klassen. Eldo graduated from Inman and attended Tabor College. He served in the W-2 service in Denver, Colorado, working in the hospital. He was a wheat farmer, also farming milo, soybeans, corn, had milk cows, and raised hogs. He was a member of Buhler MB Church and was an avid stamp collector.

On August 19, 1956, he married Janice Janzen in Henderson, Nebraska. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Bonnie and husband Mark McDaniel, Hesston, Ramon and wife Lori Klassen, Inman, and Sylvia Richter, Salina; a sister, Esther Klaassen, Manhattan; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lacie) Hogan, Sara Hogan, Ryan (Nicole Clark) Klassen, Mitchell (Helena) Klassen, Zachary (Ashlee) Richter, Alex Richter, and Audrey Richter; and great grandchildren, Eliana, Myka, and Isaiah Hogan, Jack and Charley Klassen, Amara and Aaric Richter, and Skylar Dackin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, July 24, 2026, at Buhler MB Church. A private family graveside will be held later. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Buhler MB Church and live streamed on the Buhler MB Church website or YouTube channel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Buhler MB Church for missions or Tabor College, both in care of Inman Funeral Home.
