Galen R. Wiens

Galen R. Wiens, 87, passed away August 11, 2022, in Higginsville, MO.  He was born January 8, 1935, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Cornelius and Lucille Penner Wiens.  He served 20 years in the United States Navy.  He then served as a police office in Inman and was Chief of Police in Galva.  He was a member of the Inman Mennonite Church.

On March 25, 1969, He married Dorothy F. Bonds in Oahu, HI.  She passed away on March 27, 2018.

Survivors include his children, Debra (Tony) Whitis, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Ronnie (Yonok) Hutton, San Antonio, TX, Pam Johnson, Higginsville, MO, and Gary Wiens, Gilbert, AZ; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will take place 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Galva Senior Center.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Galva Senior Center or the Galen R.
