Emma "Ruth" Harris

Emma “Ruth” Harris, 85, passed away May 17, 2024, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.  She was born January 9, 1939, in Mesilla Park, NM, the daughter of Emil Donal and Sallie Irtle McGee Wooldrige.  She was a 1958 graduate of Pecos High School, Pecos, TX.   She had worked as a clerk at the Pecos, TX grocery store and for over 20 years at the Phillips 66 in Aurora, CO.   She took care of and loved all her grandchildren.  

On August 28, 1991, she married Lonnie Gaylon Harris in Reeves County, Pecos, Texas.  He passed away on November 10, 1991.

Survivors include her children: Sally (James) Nail, Texas, Ann (James) Akins, Texas, Jo Kay (William) Sullivan, Kansas, and Lonnie (Sue) Harris, Washington; two brothers, Daniel Wooldridge, North Carolina and Joe Wooldridge, Texas; 2 sisters, Mary Hoffman, and Frances Loden, both of Texas; 19 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.  

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sons, Leon, Ronnie, and David Harris; a brother, Donald Wooldridge; and a sister, Lavern Marcotte.
