Donald J. (Don) Green, 81, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, at Buhler Sunshine Meadows. He was born August 4, 1944, in Garden City, the son of Guy William and Doris June Rosington Green. He graduated from Hutchinson High School. He married Carol Joy and they had two sons. He then got remarried to Janet Herbison.

Don owned Don’s Place in Pretty Prairie for 20 years. He had also worked for Cessna for 23 years.

If you knew Don, you knew the love he had for dogs. Sugar wasn’t just his best friend, she was his everything. From walks around town to car rides to the gas station to get his favorite lottery tickets.

Survivors include 2 sons, Danny Green and Michael Green, both of North Carolina; a sister, Cheryl Green, Hutchinson; a brother, David Green, South Hutchinson; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews;  and 3 special friends and care givers, Amanda Speice-Voboril and family, Brooke Haas and family, and Donna Green, all of Inman.

He was preceded in death by both parents and sister Janet Green.
