Dale Gene Miller, 84, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2024, at Newton Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1940, in McPherson, the son of Myron and Vivian Johnson Miller. A graduate of McPherson High School, he had also attended K-State and Oklahoma State University, majoring in horticulture. He had married Norma Camden, and they later divorced. While at Kstate and Oklahoma State, Dale worked as a teacher’s Aide. Later he went on to own his own flower shops in McPherson and later Newton. He then moved to Oklahoma, where he worked in sales, traveling to flower shops selling everything but fresh flowers. He then moved back to Kansas, where he worked in auto sales in both Hutchinson and Wichita, retiring from OK Auto Sales in Wichita in 2001.
He is survived by his children, Randy Miller, McPherson, Lisa Hosterman, McPherson, Russ Miller and family, Galva, and Dan Miller and family, Galva.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Dean Miller, in 1953.
