Benny Lee Oard, 75, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born April 1, 1951, In Abilene, KS, the son of John and Anna Miller Oard. He was a graduate of Abiline High School. Ben had been an employee of Mid Kansas Co-op (MKC) for 43 years, working in Buhler, Groveland, and at Inman Fertilizer. He was also a member of Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church.

He married Nancy Swenson on December 19, 1971, in Clay Center, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife Nancy, Inman, 3 children, Amy (Greg) Mauck, Moundridge, Benjamin Oard, Hutchinson, and Brian Oard, Inman; grandchildren, Drew (Kristin) Mauck, Jonathon, Samuel, and Lauren Mauck, and Gracie, Natalie, Levi, and Matthew Oard; siblings, Sondra Patterson, Los Angeles, CA, Keith Oard, Abilene, Jan (Brad) Dunlap, Abilene, and Tammy Oard, Ft. Smith, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 5-7PM at Inman Funeral Home. A private family graveside will be held at a later time.
